US based Catalytic Solutions supplies catalysts for motor vehicle engines and energy applications (such as gas turbines and boilers). With over ten years of experience in supplying petrol engine catalytic converters, Catalytic Solutions’ technology functions using lower levels of metal. It has recently started focused its attentions on diesel engine technology. The company was recently awarded a contract by Honda to supply catalysts for the four-cylinder petrol Accord. Production is scheduled from June 2007. Its petrol products are also going through final validation by Renault. Diesel catalysts are being tested by Honda, Renault/Nissan and Peugeot.
Catalytic Solutions diversified through the acquisition of Applied Utility Systems last year. Applied Utility Systems focuses on emissions reductions in power generation and industrial boilers and broadens Catalytic Solution’s product range. The company also supplies catalysts to the chemical industry.
Catalytic Solutions raised $25.6 million last November when it listed on AIM. For the year ending December, the company reported revenue of $41 million (up 6.8%), gross profit of $8 million (up 16.7%) and a net loss of $5.8 million. its cash balance was $31.4 million at the end of the year. |
