Helius Energy 2007's best performing cleantech new issue

More than 25 clean technology companies were listed on AIM and the main market of the London Stock Exchange during 2007. The largest of the new arrivals was wind turbine gearbox manufacturer, Hansen Transmissions, which also ranked as the second best performing new issue. Topping the list in terms of share price performance was Helius Energy, with a gain of 132%. The worst performing stock was Vectrix Corporation, whose shares have suffered a 78% decline since they were listed in May.

IBERDROLA RENOVABVLES LISTS IN MADRID PDF Print E-mail

The IPO of Iberdrola Renovables in Madrid was priced at the low end of the range and the shares slipped below the issue price of EUR5.30 in early trading. However, the scale of the issue, valued at EUR4.1 billion, makes it one of the the largest renewable energy plays and the company, a subsidiary of Spanish utility Iberdrola, is set to become a core holding in the portolios of many investors.

FORTHCOMING AIM ISSUES: New Britain Palm Oil PDF Print E-mail

New Britain Palm Oil, which has 40,000 hectares of palm oil under plantation in New Guinea, plans to raise £89 million through a listing underwritten by Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander.
